Stephanie Clement de Givry started her banking career at Chase Manhattan Bank in Mexico in 1994 before moving to SG CIB in Mexico covering structured commodity finance transactions with a focus on soft commodities. In 2000, Stephanie relocated to Paris and she was appointed as deputy head of the metal structured commodity finance team covering the CIS, Sub-Saharan Africa and Asian regions. In 2006, Stephanie moved to Shanghai to start the natural resources and energy finance platform in China before relocating to Hong Kong in 2009 to become Co-Head of the Natural Resources & Energy Financing Group for Asia Pacific, managing the bank’s Energy and Metals & Mining Finance activities in the region. In 2014, she became the Global Head of Metals & Mining Finance which evolved into the Mining, Metals & Industries Finance group focused on enabling and contributing to building a low carbon future based out of Paris. Stephanie has since relocated to Hong Kong in January 2022 to Head the Global Banking and Advisory activity for the Asia-Pacific region.

Lei Zhang is a Global Climate Tech Entrepreneur and Founder and CEO of Envision - a new renewable energy system pioneer behind the world’s first Net Zero Industrial Park and Zero Carbon Hydrogen Ammonia project. Envision’s business spans across 6 continents and includes smart wind and solar power, energy storage and hydrogen fuels and decarbonization technology. He is Executive Chairman of the Board at AESC – a leading Japanese battery technology company, and at Univers – Singapore-headquartered technology provider of the world’s largest decarbonization system. Lei is a Founding Member and Chair of the Bloomberg New Economy Climate Technology Coalition and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders. Envision was recognized as a leader on FORTUNE's "Change the World" top 50 companies list.

After a few years in a Consulting Firm that brought him to different continents, Laurent Pelletier joined Veolia twenty years ago and has not quit Asia ever since. He started in Shanghai in the water business, taking different positions in Pudong Veolia Water, acting at the end as a COO. In 2010, Laurent moved to Hong Kong to take the position of CTO for Asia and support our operations and fast growth in the region. In 2019, he took over the responsibility of Veolia Hong Kong and diversified Veolia’s portfolio of activities there, not only focusing on waste management but also energy optimization for buildings.

Duncan Lee, is Director of Investment Environmental, Social & Governance for AIA’s Group Investment function, responsible for driving the ESG integration within Group Investment, as well as continuously improving the AIA Investment ESG operating model, to consistently and significantly impacting the long-term financial results of AIA and its customers by driving sustainable behaviour with world-class investment solutions expertise, industry leadership and best practices in processes, controls and systems. This aims to provide both support and leadership with respect to the commitment of AIA towards enabling Healthier, Longer, Better Lives across the Asia-Pacific region. He led AIA’s efforts to manage down investment exposure to coal mining and coal-fired generation. Duncan partners with the Group Sustainability team for external disclosures and rating submissions, and is responsible for the Sustainable Investment chapter of AIA's annual ESG Report. Prior to taking on his current responsibilities, Duncan was responsible for the provision of investment legal advisory, transaction, and documentation support to the AIA Investment team. Most recently, he has spearheaded AIA Investment's net-zero efforts to establish AIA's SBTi boundary for Investment and near-term targets.Prior to joining AIA, Duncan spent almost two decades working in a variety of legal roles, both in private practice and as an in-house lawyer, as well as on the Global Distribution side at Barclays, covering derivatives, structured products, capital markets and prime brokerage. Duncan has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.

Mr. Hugh Wu is the Vice President of Lenovo Group, with responsibilities of managing the Group’s Treasury, Commercial Financing and Global M&A activities. Hugh has been with Lenovo for more than 15 years. Over the years, he has served as Finance Director, CFO of Lenovo Mobile BG, CFO of China & APEM Geo and Vice President of Investor Relations at Lenovo. Prior to Lenovo, Hugh held senior financial management roles at multinational and domestic corporations including Dell, Microsoft and Youku Tudou in his early years. Hugh is certified accountant in Australia (AUCPA); he also holds chartered management accountant certificates in the US (CGMA) and the UK (CIMA). Hugh graduated from the University of Bath, UK, with a master’s degree.

Yasmine is Managing Director and Head of Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance for Asia Pacific at Societe Generale, based in Hong Kong. Her teams spread across the Asia Pacific region, focusing on origination and structuring of sustainable financing solutions, as well as on supporting its clients to accelerate the development of innovative solutions and new business models that deliver positive impact. Yasmine has more than 18 years of international banking experience in structured finance and advisory, notably in Natural Resources and Export Finance. More recently, she has been involved in numerous Green, Social and Sustainability-Linked financings across industries and asset-classes in Asia Pacific region. Yasmine actively participates in a number of regional sustainability initiatives and working groups. She is Co-Chair of the Green & Sustainable Loan Committee of Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) as well as Co-Chair of the Sustainable Finance Working Group of the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Yasmine holds a Masters Degree in Management from the Institut des Mines - Telecom Business School, Paris. She is certified by the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS) with the CESGA certification (Certified Environmental Social Governance Analyst).

Shujue Cai joined Societe Generale in 2009 and started her career at the General Inspection as an inspector where she participated in various missions across the different business lines of the Group. In 2014, she joined the International Banking & Financial Services Division and was appointed Head of China-Africa Business. She was in charge of developing relationship of the Bank with Chinese Corporates in Africa and enhancing the synergies between SG China and African subsidiaries. Shujue relocated to Hong Kong in 2019 and was appointed as Trade Finance Business Development Manager for Greater China and then as Head of Trade Services Hong Kong. She took a new regional role in September 2022 as Head of Structured Trade and ESG Transaction Banking for Asia Pacific.

Frank Benzimra joined Societe Generale in 1994 and has worked in various equity derivatives and research positions in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong. He is currently Head of Asia Equity Strategy and a Multi-Asset Strategist. Frank is part of the Global Asset Allocation team, which has been ranked No.1 in the Extel survey from 2008 to 2019. He is a graduate of Sciences-Po and the London School of Economics; he has also been a research student at Tokyo University.

Based in Hong Kong, Wei Yao is leading the economic and cross-asset research on the Asia Pacific region at Société Generale. Wei also offers unique insights on China’s macroeconomic development, having been continuously ranked among the top forecasters for China since 2012 by Bloomberg. She joined Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking in April 2010. Prior to joining Societe Generale, Wei worked on Asia economic research for Kuwait-China Investment Company (now Asiya Investment), based in the Middle East. Wei was educated at Fudan University in Shanghai, and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Tufts University in the United States.

Amy is the ESG Solutions & Product Strategist for Global Markets, covering Asia Pacific, at Societe Generale. Her primary focus is driving the systematic consideration of ESG within Global Markets through product innovation, to strengthen sustainable solution offerings and advisory services, supporting APAC clients in combining long-term sustainable return with positive impact. Amy found her passion in sustainability through the United Nations climate change conferences and her expedition to Antarctica. She started her career as an environmental scientist and has been in areas related to sustainability and ESG consulting, technology risk and data, working with ESG consulting firms, Big4s and Fortune 500 company.

Julia Ripa is a Senior Analyst in the Global Equities team at The Fourth Swedish National Pension Fund (AP4). Julia is responsible for building sustainable equity strategies based on large ESG datasets and is also the co-writer of the report Integrating biodiversity into investment decisions which is based on a joint research project between Fjärde AP-Fonden and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Julia has a Master of Science in Engineering, Engineering Mathematics with a master within financial modelling from the Faculty of Engineering in Lund, Sweden. Prior to AP4, Julia worked at SEB, where she constructed ESG-models for the bank’s large clients. AP4 is a buffer fund in the Swedish public pension system, per year end 2022 total AUM amounted to SEK approximately 460 bn. AP4 is a long-term investor with a conviction that over time, integrating sustainability aspects in the asset management contributes to better management of risk and opportunities thus also returns.

Déborah Amsellem advises financial institutions on their ESG journey, providing them assistance to consider ESG into investment strategies. Earlier, she worked at the Group Strategy and Corporate M&A team where she was in charge of executing M&A transactions and developing strategic partnerships. Prior to this role, she held a position within the Wholesale Banking Strategy and Corporate development team, leading GBIS strategic initiatives and business orientations. She started her career at Societe Generale auditing Global Markets activities. Déborah graduated from Telecom Paris Engineering School and holds a Master in Financial Mathematics from Paris VII University.

Maya Ormazabal is Telefónica's Director of Environment and Human Rights, she leads the company's strategy on issues such as climate change, circular economy and the sustainable supply chain. She also coordinates sustainability aspects of the company's sustainable financing initiatives and the Taxonomy reporting. Has worked on environmental topic at Telefónica for 20 years and is also part of the board of directors of organizations such as the Spanish Green Growth Group, the international sectorial initiative JAC and leads international working groups on sustainability in the ICT sector. She has a degree in Environmental Sciences, Master in protected areas and Executive programme PDG by IESE Business School.

SungAh Lee is the Deputy Director General and a member of the Executive Board of IUCN. Throughout her career, she has been deeply passionate about and committed to building sustainable and inclusive economies and societies that create opportunities for all. Her experience spans multiple thematic areas, including inclusive and sustainable economic development and poverty reduction, skills and jobs, climate and biodiversity, financial and digital inclusion, and gender and health equity. Prior to joining IUCN, she has been leading work across several industries, including international organisations, foundations, NGOs, membership-based networks, and the private sector. These include the World Economic Forum, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Alliance for Financial Inclusion, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Union for International Cancer Control, the International Trade Centre (ITC), and LG Card and LG Capital. She also served as a Board member at the United Nations Capital Development Fund’s (UNCDF) Shaping Inclusive Finance Transformations (SHIFT) programme, the Better than Cash Alliance (BTCA); a public-private partnership hosted by the UN, and at Digital Frontiers, a global capacity building institution for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sandrine Enguehard was appointed Head of Sustainable and Positive Impact Finance in October 2021. Since 2013, she was responsible of Impact Structuring team in charge of developing attractive financing solutions for both issuers and investors integrating their sustainability agenda in collaboration with all the GLBA business lines aiming at developing sustainable finance solutions. She joined GLBA/ENV as Environmental and Social Advisor in 2010. Sandrine joined the Group in 2005 as Mining and Building materials industry consultant (RISQ/ETU). Previously she held various operating positions in the Mining and Materials industry sectors.

Tim Gould was appointed the Agency’s Chief Energy Economist in 2021. As Chief Energy Economist, he provides strategic advice on energy economics across a wide range of IEA activities and analysis. Mr Gould is also Head of the Division for Energy Supply and Investment Outlooks, in which capacity he co-leads the World Energy Outlook, the IEA’s flagship publication, and oversees the Agency’s work on investment and finance, including the World Energy Investment report. Mr Gould joined the IEA in 2008, initially as a specialist on Russian and Caspian energy, and in recent years has designed and directed the World Energy Outlook together with the IEA’s Chief Energy Modeller while contributing to the Outlook as a principal author. Prior to joining the IEA, Mr Gould worked on European and Eurasian energy issues in Brussels and has ten years of experience in Eastern Europe, primarily in Ukraine. He graduated from Oxford University and has a post-graduate diploma from the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University.

Alice Steenland joined Signify, the global leader in lighting technologies, in January 2022 as Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer and a member the company’s Leadership Team. Previously, Alice was the founding Chief Sustainability Officer of Dassault Systèmes, a global leader in virtual twin technologies, and for the ten years prior served as the founding Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer at financial services firm AXA Group, where she helped the company rise to a leading position in global sustainability rankings, thanks in part to a pioneering responsible investment strategy including the landmark decision to divest from coal and, later, tobacco. Prior to joining AXA, she led the investor research arm of Vigeo (now a subsidiary of Moody’s), worked in the business consulting unit of Arthur Andersen, and acted as an independent consultant in the field of strategic planning for Save the Children USA. Alice currently serves as a board member of ShareAction and Arvella Investments, as a lecturer at France’s Ecole Polytechnique and as an advisory committee member at the Yale School of Management, the impact fund Giant Ventures, and the leading French sustainability think tank IDDRI. Alice Steenland received her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Helen joined Société Générale in 2002 as Senior Relationship Manager for Corporate Clients in The Netherlands. She is currently Head of Corporates & is Country Manager for Société Générale Amsterdam branch. She has more than 34 years of experience in banking. During the last 20 years, she has originated various corporate finance, projects and capital market transactions, including sustainability linked for large Euronext Amsterdam listed clients. Helen is leading in SG The Netherlands on our ESG roadmap, working with clients and transactions, aligning these to SG’s energy transition, positive impact and net zero commitments.

Andrew is a founder partner of Circularity Capital, a specialist private equity investor focussed on investing in circular economy companies across Europe. Over the last eight years, Andrew and his colleagues have invested over €100m in the circular economy across Europe. Andrew sits on the board of a number of Circularity’s portfolio companies helping them growth and capture circular value and positive environmental impact.

Nicolas is part of the Impact Based Finance team and is working on furthering Société Générale’s support to the circular economy, with a particular focus on plastics and textiles. Prior to joining this team, he co-founded the Social Impact Solutions team to develop outcomes-based financing mechanisms such as Development & Social Impact Bond structures enhanced by the integration of private sector partners. Nicolas joined Société Générale in 2008 to develop tailor-made financing structures optimising accounting, regulatory and tax parameters for corporates and financial institutions in Paris and London.

Thibaud spent his 5 years of business school traveling the globe, between France, Toronto, Mexico, Spain, and India for his studies, then Haiti on a break to build schools. Upon his return to France, Thibaud joined the Neteven company, where for 3 years he supported reconditioning factories on the development of their distribution on the web. It was during this professional experience that he realized the know-how of these factories and the business opportunity presented by refurbishing devices, and Back Market was born.

Ilya Polyakov is Deputy Head of Global Banking and Advisory since May 2023. Ilya Polyakov joined the Corporate & Investment Banking activities of Societe Generale in 2001. He was appointed global Co-Head of Metals & Mining within the Natural Resources and Energy Department in 2011 in addition to his responsibilities as Senior Banker in charge of global relationship and strategic advisory for Metals & Mining clients in Russia/CIS region. He joined Rosbank in 2012 as Head of its Corporate Block as well as Head of Corporate & Investment Banking for Russia/CIS region. In September 2016, Ilya became First Deputy CEO of Rosbank in charge of all Wholesale banking activities for the Group in Russia before being appointed as CEO and Chairman of Rosbank ‘s management board in April 2018 as well as Chief Country Officer for Russia/CIS for the Group’s corporate and investment banking activities. Ilya Polyakov has been advisor to the Group’s General Management since beginning of 2023. Ilya Polyakov graduated from HEC School of Management in Paris and from Moscow University of International Relations (MGIMO).

Adam is an expert on the commodity and manufacturing sectors’ transition to a net-zero economy. He is the CEO and co-founder of CarbonChain, providing automated, asset-level carbon accounting for most carbon-intensive supply chains. Adam’s career spans nearly two decades across supply chain management, extractive commodities, and technology start-ups. He was the senior program manager for 8 countries in Amazon’s European supply chain from 2016 to 2019, and he worked at Rio Tinto for 12 years, increasing productivity of several ore supply chains. Adam holds an MBA from London Business School and an honors degree from Queensland University of Technology in Australia. At CarbonChain, he helps some of the world’s biggest and most impact-minded commodity companies, traders, manufacturers, financiers and logistics firms accelerate their climate action. Adam is a regular speaker at industry events such as FT Global Commodities Summit, Reuters Commodities Trading, Carbon Forward, LME Sustainability, Loan Market Association and the TXF Global Commodities conference.

Deia Markova is appointed Head of Trade & Sustainability Commodity Finance in Switzerland in January 2020. Deia Markova started her career in 2001 at Societe Generale in Paris in the Corporate Finance Advisory department and later joined the Structured Commodity Finance team with a focus on Metals & Mining customers in Russia and the CIS region. From 2014 to 2017, Deia headed the corporate lending business of Sberbank (Switzerland), with a focus on commodity producers and traders. In 2018, she joined SG Zurich, in charge of impact-based financing solutions aimed at the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In January 2020, Deia was appointed Head of Trade Commodity Finance in Switzerland and joined the Executive Committee of SG Zurich. Deia Markova holds a Master of Science in Finance from Panthéon-Assas University Paris and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Business Law from University of St. Gallen.

CEO of IXM, the third largest metals trading company in the world. Over 23 years’ experience in various leadership, managerial and trading roles internationally at Glencore, and across both base metals and agricultural sectors globally. Kenny played an instrumental role in the Glencore/Xstrata integration which equipped him with an in-depth understanding of mining operations and their significance to the trading business. At the time of his departure from Glencore in 2021, Kenny was the Nickel Divisional Head and member of the management executive committee.

Deia Markova is appointed Head of Trade & Sustainability Commodity Finance in Switzerland in January 2020. Deia Markova started her career in 2001 at Societe Generale in Paris in the Corporate Finance Advisory department and later joined the Structured Commodity Finance team with a focus on Metals & Mining customers in Russia and the CIS region. Anne-Christine Champion began her career in 2002 in the financial engineering department at Natixis where she provided advisory and arrangement services for the infrastructure sector. In 2012, she became Global Head of advisory activities and infrastructure & project financing. In 2016, Anne-Christine Champion was then appointed Global Head of the Corporate & Investment Bank’s newly created distribution (primary, secondary, direct and synthetic) and portfolio management business. In 2019, she became Global Head of Real Assets, in charge of origination in the energy, infrastructure, real estate and aviation sectors, within the Corporate & Investment Bank. Anne-Christine was previously, from 2020, Co-Head of Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking and member of the Senior Management Committee of Natixis. Anne-Christine Champion is a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, of the Stanford Executive Program and of the Collège des Ingénieurs.

There are a thousand ways to introduce Marie Ekeland. But any effort to label her would deny her core identity as she is bridging worlds and cultures, constantly empowering innovators to achieve their visions. Marie’s approach is rooted in an extraordinary journey within the French Tech. At the age of 30, within the investment fund Elaia Partners, she first detected Criteo, which she advised and followed until 2016, 3 years after its IPO. In the same spirit, she co-founded France Digitale to give voice to a sector that was still in its early stages of development. She became the first woman in Europe to create a €150 millions fund. In 2015, daphni was born with a value proposal that was already very different from the market. Her current portfolio is divided between London, New York, Montpellier, Paris and San Francisco. It reflects her taste for diversity: education (Holberton School), health and nutrition (Lifen and Zoe), culture (Keakr), finance (Shine, sold to Société Générale in the summer 2020), green mobility (Zoov), well-being at work (Swile). During her time as head of the French Digital Council (2017), Marie realized the urgency of moving forward on fundamental issues such as biodiversity and diversity, and sketched out the first steps of a new adventure targeting the world’s major challenges.

Gillian-Alexandre Huart is the CEO of ENGIE Energy Access, ENGIE’s Access to Energy business in Africa, born out of the successful integration of solar home system companies, Fenix International and ENGIE Mobisol; and mini-grids provider, ENGIE PowerCorner. He is responsible for driving ENGIE’s ambitious goal of maintaining market leadership and providing long-term impact on the lives of Africans. He began his career as a consultant with Accenture before joining Electrabel in 2002 in Audit and Internal Consulting. He moved to GDF SUEZ Asia in 2008 as Senior Vice-President Business Development. In 2014, he was appointed Managing Director of SMN Power Group, which produced 20% of the electricity and water in the Sultanate of Oman, and won the largest desalination project in the country. He moved to Tractebel in 2017 as Director of Energy Transition and Innovation and developed the activity of consulting and services in sustainable development solutions. He contributed to the creation and implementation of ENGIE Impact, and led the EMEAI region (Eurorope, Middle East, Africa and India) as Managing Director in 2019. Gillian graduated from the Université libre de Bruxelles and holds Masters degrees in Business Management and Political Sciences.

Marie-Aimee Boury is a structured finance professional with 28 years international business experience at Société Générale in New York, London and Paris. She has a demonstrated track record in advising, structuring and executing complex transactions in project finance, structured commodity finance and project bonds where she developed a strong network of relationships amongst sponsors, MDBs and institutional investors. Throughout her various positions, she has developed an in-depth understanding of debt financing and capital markets in energy and infrastructure on a global basis, with a strong focus on emerging markets and blended finance, in particular Africa and Latin America. She is currently Head of Impact Based Finance, a team that sits in the Investment Banking division of Societe Generale. Its mission is to act as a catalyst to generate disruptive innovation within the bank, contribute to thought leadership in collaborative initiatives, and advise the bank’s private and public clients to improve the bankability and scale up of their new business models, using a unique impact-driven approach and blended finance structuring to deliver innovative funding solutions Marie-Aimee holds a Master’s degree in International Finance from EDHEC.

Antoine assumed his role as EBRD Director for Morocco on September 1st, 2021. He is responsible for the EBRD’s investments and operations in the country. A French national, Mr Sallé de Chou joined the Bank in 2013 as Senior Counsellor for Strategy and Policy where he led development of EBRD’s strategies for some of its largest markets. In 2017 he was appointed Head of Office in Tunisia, where he managed a significant scaling up of the Bank’s investments and enhanced policy engagement, notably on the EBRD’s Green Economy Transition approach. Imane REKAIBI holds a Saudi Arabian baccalaureate obtained in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She joined Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane before pursuing a specialized Master's in communication at the Hassania School of Public Works. Starting her career in agri-food with Nestlé in 2002, overseeing the Nesquik brand, she transitioned to the textile industry in 2004 as a portfolio manager for brands at Coast Maroc Group. In 2006, she entered the telecom sector (currently with Orange), managing Corporate Brand Management. In 2017, she joined Renault Group Morocco, overseeing the group's Social Responsibility and contributing to the establishment of the Renault Morocco Foundation in 2018. As the current Secretary-General of the Foundation, she remains committed to developing tailored educational programs, forging innovative partnerships with NGOs and communities, and diversifying support solutions for solarization in rural and peri-urban areas.

Hicham Mghirbi is a finance and management professional, graduated in 1985 with a Master's in Management with a Finance specialization from Audencia Business School, Nantes. He began his career as an auditor in Paris before becoming an Attaché de Mission at the presidency of the SOPAR Group. In 1990, Hicham Mghirbi transitioned into the role of Sales Director at Wafabail and later served as the General Manager of Prestige Couture within the SOPAR Group from 1990 to 1995. Since 1995, he has been the Founder and Co-manager of the Filmod Group. His diverse professional journey highlights his versatility and visionary leadership, contributing to the ongoing success of the group.

François MARCHAL, a graduate of HEC Paris with a DESS in International Taxation from Paris II-Assas, commenced his professional journey as a Consultant at Ernst & Young. He joined Société Générale (Paris) in 2005 as an Inspector, later becoming Senior Inspector in 2011. In 2014, he assumed the role of Commercial Director at Société Générale Ghana and was appointed Deputy CEO. In 2018, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors for Société Générale Morocco.

Dr. Anastasia Volkova is the CEO and Co-Founder of Regrow Ag, an award-winning company that empowers climate action through regenerative agriculture. She has her PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Sydney in Australia, and has more than 10 years of experience in academia, business and startups. After earning her Ph.D., Dr. Volkova recognized that her knowledge is well-suited for climate action, especially in agriculture. Over the past several years she has been working to reverse climate change through sustainable farming; identifying and progressing the science and technology that leads to lasting change in the industry. Dr. Volkova has nurtured Regrow into a global company that empowers some of the world’s largest brands (Kellogg’s, Cargill, and General Mills, among others) to reduce GHG emissions across their supply chains and combat climate change through food production. She is a recognized thought leader and innovator in regenerative agriculture and sustainable food sourcing. She’s a member of the Forbes Technology Council, a TEDx Speaker, one of MIT’s “35 Under 35” Innovators, and one of BBC’s “Top 100 Women”.

Murilo Parada is Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of North Latin America Region at Louis Dreyfus Company. A Brazilian national, he first joined the Group as a Trainee in 2001. Working initially to set up our Cotton Platform in Brazil, he later moved to the Juice Platform, serving as Commercial Director for Brazil until 2010. He transferred to Beijing in 2011 as General Manager for Juice Operations in Asia, returning to Brazil in 2013 as a Commercial Director for Biosev S.A. He later served as Head of Juice for North Latin America and then Global Head of Juice, until taking up his present responsibilities. Murilo holds an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of São Paulo and, a master’s degree in business economics from Fundação Getulio Vargas.

Carine Kraus is Director of Commitment for the Carrefour Group and a member of the COMEX of the Group, which is one of the world leaders in mass retailing with sales of 90 billion, 500,000 employees under the Carrefour banner and 15,000 shops worldwide. Tom is an experienced investor and portfolio manager, having, since 2006, deployed more than C$750M in growth equity companies and overseen private capital portfolios totalling more than US$10bn for a large pension fund, a sovereign fund and a VC fund in Canada and in France. Tom also spent 10 years as an investment banker in Canada raising more than C$800M of equity financings and executing C$7.6bn worth of M&A primarily for ICT companies. Tom joined Capagro in 2018 as President and Managing Partner. He oversees the GP’s operations and sits on the boards of Naio Technologies, Combagroup and Cellucomp. He holds an MBA from McGill university and a B.A.A. from HEC Montreal. Tom is a keen triathlete. He has participated to 37 triathlons and represented Canada at the International Union Triathlon championships in his age group.

Rachel Kolbe Semhoun is currently Head of Sustainability at InVivo Group. Her work is dedicated to catalyzing a Positive Impact transition in agriculture, wine, gardening and food. With “Sustainability Inside”, Rachel’s leadership is focused on the triple-bottom line by contributing to carbon neutrality, improving soil health, fostering biodiversity, scaling regenerative practices and nature-based solutions while helping to improve farmers’ livelihoods. American based in Paris, Rachel is also Development Director of the endowment fund InVivo Foundation.

Vincent is a Managing Director within the Trade and Sustainable Commodity Finance business line of Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, where he focuses on agribusiness and sustainability. Vincent also co-heads SGCIB’s Sustainable Food & Agribusiness Value Chain, an initiative aimed at adapting services and products to meet the ecological transition objectives of our corporate clients. Vincent has spent over 25 years with Société Générale where he has held various positions in France, Asia, and Latin-America. Si-Yeon is a C-Suite Executive and Board Member with over 20 years of experience in private equity, M&A and international operations. Most recently, Si-Yeon was the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and Executive Chair of ESG at American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT), and a member of the executive team that led Amex GBT from carve-out and private equity investment to successful public listing on the NYSE. While at Amex GBT, Si-Yeon forged a partnership with Shell Aviation to bring sustainable aviation fuel to corporate buyers and create early demand, represented Amex GBT at Accenture’s conferences at COP26, and led the company to join the First Movers’ Coalition, a partnership between the U.S. State Dept and the World Economic Forum to bring emerging clean technologies to commercial scale. Prior to Amex GBT, Si-Yeon served as Assistant General Counsel for JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPMC) and Chief Compliance Officer for One Equity Partners, JPMC’s private equity investment arm. Anthony is a Senior Director with the Responsible Investing (RI) team at Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA. Prior to joining Nuveen, Anthony worked as a policy advisor to institutional investors at Institutional Shareholder Services. His other professional experiences include a variety of financial and legal research positions. He received a JD from Vanderbilt University and a BA in Economics from Hamilton College.

Scott Chung joined Tikehau in 2022 as a Vice President for Tikehau North America and manages private equity investments for Tikehau Capital. Prior to this, Scott spent three years as a private equity associate at One Rock Capital Partners and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. He recently managed strategic finance at Mapbox, a developerfocused mapping and navigation technology platform. Scott started his career in transportation & infrastructure investment banking at Evercore.

Irina Markina is the Managing Director and Chief Decarbonization Officer at Ara Partners. Irina leads the firm’s impact strategy, impact due diligence, and portfolio impact performance measurement and management. Prior to joining Ara Partners, Irina was a global Corporate Sustainability Manager at Baker Hughes, a $35 billion energy technology company, where she was instrumental in operationalizing the company’s net zero strategy and sustainability operating model across its global business. Prior to this, Irina served as the Senior Energy Advisor at the European Union Delegation to the United States, where she provided technical guidance and directed the European Commission’s cooperation on energy, climate change, and GHG emissions reduction strategies with U.S. government agencies. Irina is a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center. Ara Partners is a global private equity firm specializing in buyout, growth equity, and infrastructure investments in industrial decarbonization across four core sectors: industrials and manufacturing, chemicals and materials, energy efficiency and green fuels, and food and agriculture. With c.$3.3 billion in assets under management, Ara Partners pursues private equity and infrastructure investments in North America and Europe and has offices in Boston, Houston, and Dublin.

Matt Kittell is a Director with Societe Generale’s sustainable finance team in New York. Matt has worked in the climate and energy transition space for over twenty years, including fifteen years working with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO). At LPO, Matt worked with dozens of applicants for projects in renewable energy, industrial energy efficiency, clean transportation, hydrogen, and carbon management. Recently, Matt led LPO’s underwriting team for the $1 billion conditional commitment to Monolith Materials (January 2022) and DOE’s launch of the $2.1 billion carbon dioxide transportation infrastructure finance and innovation (CIFIA) program (October 2022). Matt left DOE and joined Societe Generale in April 2023 to advise energy transition clients on public/private funding opportunities.

Marie Clara Buellingen joined Societe Generale in 2022 to support building out SG’s sustainability advisory services in the Americas. She has more than 15 years of cross-sector sustainability experience helping advance the bank’s clients ESG strategies, programs and financing needs. Her work focuses on the linkages of ESG strategy to capital allocation and sustainable value creation in line with investor expectations, regulatory requirements and best practices such as TCFD, SASB, CDP, UNPRI, UNSDGs and GRI. Prior to joining the bank, Marie Clara advised corporates as well as large institutional investors on the development of sustainable business practices and investment stewardship strategies. Early in her career, Marie Clara worked in the public policy space with diplomatic postings to Washington, D.C., and Tokyo. She holds a MSc in Global Business and Finance from Georgetown University as well as a Master of Law from the University of Vienna.

Kyle leads BNEF’s sustainability research team, which publishes content on the private sector's transition to the low-carbon economy. The team focuses on core areas like environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting, target-setting, low-carbon pathways and sustainable finance. Kyle specializes in corporate clean energy procurement, net-zero targets and voluntary carbon offsets.

Klaus is a Founding Partner and Co-CIO of Klima Capital, an environmental investment manager dedicated to regulated carbon markets. Klaus is a carbon and commodity market expert who views climate change as the defining challenge of our generation. Since 2018, he has focused on carbon markets and played a principal role in building out the carbon investing efforts for a global asset manager, including launching a physical California Carbon Allowance fund. Prior to Klima, Klaus spent 10 years at PIMCO, serving as the lead strategist for PIMCO’s global commodity and carbon offerings since 2018, including for one of the world’s largest commodity hedge funds. Klaus holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Palmer Scholar (highest academic distinction). He received undergraduate degrees in international business from Northeastern University, Boston and ESB Reutlingen, Germany. Klaus is a CFA® charterholder and also holds the Financial Risk Manager and CAIA® designations.

Chris Canavan is the CEO of the Global Carbon Market Utility, which is dedicated to building infrastructure for the voluntary carbon market to establish trust, safety and integrity. Chris has a long career in international finance and economics. He was a partner at Lion’s Head Global Partners, a financial advisory and asset management firm focused on sustainable finance in emerging and frontier markets. Before that, he spent a decade as Director of Global Policy Development for George Soros, where he led projects related to mission investing, financial policy reform, sustainable development, climate change, and resource governance. Between 1997 and 2010, Chris worked for Goldman Sachs, where he was Chief Risk Officer of the firm’s commercial bank, ran a credit trading desk in the global commodities business, co-headed the Latin America Debt Capital Markets unit, and headed Latin America credit and sovereign risk management.

Heather Pandich serves as CME Group’s Manager of Energy Products. She is responsible for managing CME Group’s suite of weather futures and options. She developed an early interest in the impact of climate and weather on financial markets and has spent her career involved in the energy sector. Before joining CME Group, Pandich was a policy analyst for the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities in Dublin, Ireland, where she helped implement Clean Energy legislation in the electricity sector. Pandich holds a MSc in Energy and Environmental Finance from University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Business School. She also studied at the State University of New York at Fredonia where she obtained a BSc in Business Administration and a BA in Economics, with a minor in mathematics.

Paul is a Senior Advisor to the Columbia Climate School bringing the knowledge and experience of the financial markets gained over a 35-year career as an analyst, portfolio manager and leader in corporate responsibility. He is also an advisor to the Coalition for Rainforest Nations, helping advance their mission of making rainforests worth more alive than dead. During a 28-year career at AllianceBernstein, he built the firm’s efforts in emerging market debt and lead its global, multi-sector, fixed-income investing team. After being named to the firm’s first Partner Class, Paul was asked to oversee the firmwide efforts in corporate responsibility, including Diversity & Inclusion, responsible investing, and corporate philanthropy. In that role he played an instrumental part in creating the partnership between Columbia and AllianceBernstein, which lead to his former firm being the founding member of the Corporate Affiliate Program. In his current roles, Paul is focused on carbon markets and climate finance, hoping to bring healthy skepticism to the debate on how financial markets can help address the climate emergency. He received a BA in Economics from Union College and MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business

Ben rejoined Societe Generale as Global Head of Commodity Strategy and Research in 2023, having previously held senior commodity roles on both the buy and sell side. Prior to SG, Ben was a commodities strategist and PM for quantitative investment strategies at Hartree Partners and macro strategies at Point 72. During his earlier tenure at SG, spanning over 10 years to 2019, Ben held various roles in the commodity investor business, eventually working as a strategist focused on quantitative investment strategies in commodities. Ben started his commodities career as a commodity index trader at Credit Suisse, before joining Goldman Sachs as a commodity strategist. Ben holds a PhD in Mathematics from Oxford University.

Thierry d’Argent is Group Country Head for the United Kingdom and Ireland, and CEO of Societe Generale London Branch since May 2023. Thierry d’Argent began his career in 1988 at Oliver Wyman; he served as deputy Cabinet Director in the Brussels Federal Government between 1991 and 1992. He then joined Barings and JP Morgan in 1998, to develop its investment banking franchise in Europe; in 2001, he became Head of Mergers & Acquisition for JP Morgan in France. Thierry d’Argent joined the Mergers & Acquisitions’ team of Societe Generale in 2009 and was appointed Global Head of Mergers and Acquisitions in 2010. He became Global Head of Corporate Finance in 2012 and Co-Head, latterly Head, of the Coverage and Investment Banking division in 2015. Thierry d’Argent has been Deputy Head of Global Banking and Advisory since July 2019. Thierry d’Argent graduated Summa cum laude from the Solvay Business School and the University of Brussels.

Kokou Agbo-Bloua joined SG CIB in 2014 as Global Head of Engineering for Global Equity Flow (GEF) before taking the leadership of the Flow Strategy & Solutions team within Global Markets Financial Engineering. In June 2020 he was appointed Global Head of Economics, Cross-Asset & Quant Research, in addition to his role as Head of Flow Strategy & Solutions. Previously, he was Head of Equity & Derivative Strategy Europe at BNPP in London where he was responsible for European fundamental equity strategy, derivatives parameters, global cross-asset themes and convertible bonds strategy. Prior to this, he started his career on the trading side as a portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies (GSPS) and then a derivatives trader at JP Morgan. Born in Togo and educated in China, where he spent 12 years of his life, Kokou Agbo-Bloua graduated with an MSc in Management from HEC School of Management in Paris in 2002 and completed his post-graduate studies in Finance at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

Darryl is Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure, Real Assets at Aviva Investors, responsible for infrastructure transactions for the infrastructure equity and debt strategies. Darryl is responsible for a portfolio of around £12bn of debt and equity investments across the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Darryl was a partner at KPMG in the Global Infrastructure Advisory practice. He has over 28 years’ experience in infrastructure financing and investment having also worked at Hambros, SG, Newcourt Capital, RBC and was head of European Project Finance at HSBC. He has structured, advised and arranged on a wide number of projects globally. Darryl holds a PhD in Mathematics from Exeter University. He is the UK Council Chair of the International Project Finance Association.

Ian is Head of Banking and Investments at UK Infrastructure Bank, responsible for the origination and execution of the bank’s lending and investing activities. Ian is an experienced banker and investor. Before joining UKIB, he was Head of Private Markets at asset manager LGPS Central, establishing its infrastructure, private credit, private equity and real estate direct and fund of funds platform for its eight UK pension schemes. Previously, he spent 14 years at Lloyds Banking Group, where latterly he was Head of Industrials & Infrastructure and Head of Large Corporates, Europe. He had joined Lloyds to lead leveraged finance in Europe, becoming Global Head of Leveraged Finance and then Global Head of Loan Financing before moving to head coverage. His career prior to Lloyds was at UBS where he was a Managing Director in the leveraged finance and advisory business.

Simon Hayden is the European Head of the Sustainable Resources Group within Blackstone Credit. He is based in London. Before joining Blackstone Credit, Mr. Hayden was a Managing Director at EIG where he spent over 12 years working on private investments in the renewable energy sector. Before EIG, he worked at Citi advising and arranging international project financings in infrastructure and energy. Mr. Hayden received an M.A. in Geography from Oxford University and an M.Phil. in Economics from Cambridge University.

Carlota leads the development of RLAM ESG Engagement Programmes and its Climate Transition and Net Zero strategy. As part of her climate work, she spearheaded RLAM’s support for the TCFD and has led internal analysis to evaluate the needs of the business to develop a climate transition plan. She supported RLAM’s commitment to net zero through the Net Zero Asset Manager Initiative (NZAM) and contributes to investment industry best practice through her membership of the Climate Financial Risk Forum (CFRF), the Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) asset managers working group and Investment Association climate change working group. She manages a team of analysts and engagement managers (focusing on cybersecurity and technology; climate change and just transition; governance and corporate culture; biodiversity; and health). Carlota joined from the Church of England National Investing Bodies, where she spent three years running high profile corporate engagements focused on climate change, international corporate tax, and board diversity (among others). Before joining the Church of England, she was the Director of Products and Services at a tech start-up (Datamaran) where she led the research team to develop software for sustainability benchmarking. Prior to that, she spent 10 years and was Head of Research at EIRIS (now Moody’s following its merger with Vigeo) where she led global ESG research and product development. Carlota is a Civil Engineer with an MSc in Environmental Economics and has a deep interest in analytics and the integration of externalities (environmental and social) in corporate assessment, policy intervention and scenario analysis. She has developed techniques learned during previous business development and sales roles in her company engagements.

Zvi Wohlgemuth joined Societe Generale in 2007 in Loan Sales responsible for Project Finance and Middle East. He previously held positions at HSBC and RBS working on a wide range of landmark transactions in Project Finance and Infrastructure. In 2015, he was appointed as Head of EMEA Project, Asset Financing & CEEMEA Loan Syndicate. He holds a Bachelors degree (hons) in Civil and Structural Engineering from University College London in 1999

Alexandre Fleury is Co-Head of Global Banking & Investor Solutions and a member of the Group Executive Committee, having been appointed 24 May 2023. Alexandre Fleury started his career in California working on the development of portfolio optimization software. He then spent 10 years at Societe Generale being successively based in Tokyo, New York and Paris where he carried out responsibilities in Structured Equity Derivatives Trading and Structured Credit Derivatives Trading. In 2009, he joined Credit Suisse to become Head of Quantitative Futures Trading Strategies. In 2011, he moved to Morgan Stanley where he acted as Head of Equities Structured Products for Europe and Asia, Head of European Flow Index Trading and Global Head of Hybrids Trading. In 2016, he became Global Head of Equities Structured Products and Structured Financing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, before returning at Societe Generale in June 2018. Alexandre was previously Head of Equities and Equity Derivatives from June 2018 and Co-Head of Global Markets activities from June 2021. Alexandre Fleury is a graduate of the École Centrale Paris in France and holds a Master of Science from the University of California, Berkeley, USA.
